Installation

TimeXNet is implemented using the Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.7 and can be run using the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 7 on any OS.

To install:

  1. Download the zip file

  2. Unzip and copy the contents to a suitable working directory

  3. For Linux and Mac, execute glp_install.sh in the TimeXNet directory from the command line or terminal to install the GNU Linear Programming Kit:

    $ ./glpk_install.sh

    This is not required for Windows.

Dependencies

TimeXNet requires the following to be installed on the userís machine:

  1. The Java Runtime Environment 7 (JRE7) - available for all OS platforms

  2. The GNU Linear Programming Kit (GLPK) - Linux, Windows, Mac.

    TimeXNet includes a copy of GLPK for Windows which it uses, so installing GLPK on Windows is not necessary. It also includes installable versions for Linux and OSX and the user is required to install either this using the glpk_install.sh script, or a downloaded version of the GLPK before running TimeXNet.
